Upgrading Plus for NT/2000/XP to Pro for NT/2000/XP

To upgrade Plus version for NT/2000/XP to Pro version for NT/2000/XP, follow these steps:

1. Run mail server controller application, and go to Admin mode;
2. Click File - Stop;
3. Click File - Unregister Service. On the prompt, answer OK;
4. Exit controller application;
5. Run Control Panel, and double click select Add or Remove Programs;
6. Select ArGoSoft Mail Server Plus, and click Change/Remove;
7. Uncheck Remove Data Files, Remove Registry Data, and Remove Validation Data options. Again, these options must be unchecked.
8. Click Next;
9. Click Remove Now;
10. If prompted, Restart your computer;
11. Execute Mail Server Pro setup, make sure to install it in the same directory, where you kept Plus (default);
12. When prompted, select to overwrite your existing web templates and other documents, because web templates of Plus are not compatible with web templates of Pro.

Mail Server Pro will detect your previous installation (as long as you did not select to remove previous installation data in step 7), and convert your existing users. All your local domains will be moved as aliases of No Domain, which means, your users will not need to make any changes in their settings, and will not need to append their domain names to their user names (see one of the Q/As on the FAQ page).
